tedmartinTed Martin:
Theodore William Martin was born December 13, 1942 in Littlefork, Minnesota. He passed away May 15, 2012, in Venice, Florida. Ted worked in the insurance industry as an underwriting consultant until he retired in 2007. At that time he and his wife Deb moved to Venice, Florida.

Summertime was spent at Kimble Lake, Minnesota where he constructed and maintained his G scale layout. He had an extensive workshop where he maintained his trains and built many projects.

Ted and Deb hosted the Northern Minnesota Railway Heritage Association (Trackers) meeting at their residence in August of 2011 to show the members what can be done at your own home with G scale equipment. He built a flowing river with a waterfall that incorporated natural landscaping. He built a convoluted loop leading up under a deck and then back down to the rail shop yards with many interesting scenes built along the right of way.

Always smiling and jovial, he actively volunteered selling fund raising coupon books at a Brainerd department store for the Trackers. He actively supported an operational N.M.R.H.A. G scale construction project in a hardware store in Crosslake, Minnesota.

Besides belonging to N.M.R.H.A., Ted was a member of Midwest Rails, Gulf Coast Railroaders, and the Mesa Grande Railroad.
