Clemn was a printer by trade working for Bank Printing in Brainerd for 28 years. He later helped fom Lakes Printing in Brainerd. The original brochures and subsequent revisions for the Northern Trackers were printed under his guidance.

Clem was also a genealogist and published three family histories. He also researched and printed several pictorial histories of the NOrthern Pacific railroad's development in Brainerd. Clem served several terms on the Board of Directors of the Northern Trackers and worked to futher develop ideas of the Northern Minnesota Railroad Historical Association.

There are two specific farm scenes on the HO part of the museum layout that Clem constructed, along with an engine shed. Many feet of the HO track were ballasted and painted under this steady hand.

After Clem passed away, his wife Mary donated the many cars, engines, buildings, and track to N.M.R.H.A., which the museum gratefully appreciated.
