welcome

The Northern Trackers Railroad Club is a group of men and women who are interested in building and operating model railroads and preserving the history of railroading, logging and mining in the Brainerd Lakes, Minnesota area. The club building is located in Crosslake, Minnesota.

At the Northern Trackers Club in Crosslake there are two signature model railroads. The historic HO scale model railroad is based on the Minnesota & International railroad and associated logging and mining activities circa 1905 to 1915. The club has a historic photo display that illustrates the basis for the HO layout.

The large Lionel O scale model railroad is based on a terminal railroad with trains from main railroads using a mix of large steam and early diesel locomotives.

There is an N scale module based on the early logging operations in Crosslake, Minnesota. The layout also shows various stores and other buildings in the early Crosslake days.

There is also a Lionel gauge kids model train layout that can be operated by visiting children.

The Northern Trackers Railroad Club's Models and Museum has something of interest for all ages!
